Understand the difference between the Owens Corning product warranty and the separate workmanship warranty included in our McAllen replacement agreement.
Owens Corning currently publishes Oakridge with a Limited Lifetime manufacturer warranty for qualifying residential applications. The actual manufacturer warranty determines eligibility, exclusions, transfer rules and how coverage changes over time.
Owens Corning’s current Oakridge product data lists a 10-year Tru PROtection non-prorated limited-warranty period. The manufacturer’s current warranty document controls the exact terms.
Current Oakridge literature lists a 110/130 MPH Wind Resistance Limited Warranty and an algae-resistance limited warranty. Requirements and durations are subject to the manufacturer’s current documents and regional product conditions.
Our written McAllen Best Roofer agreement includes a 2-year workmanship warranty for qualifying replacements. This is separate from Owens Corning’s product warranty and applies to covered installation workmanship under the signed agreement.
The workmanship warranty is not insurance and does not automatically cover every future roof issue. Storm damage, structural movement, third-party alterations, lack of maintenance, product defects and conditions outside our scope may not be workmanship claims.
Keep the signed estimate, invoice, shingle information, photos and manufacturer warranty documents together. Owens Corning provides a standard-warranty registration process and a manufacturer claims process.
